What AccordNote is

AccordNote is an AI memory layer — a Chrome extension and web application that lets you capture answers from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and other AI tools, then revives them later via the Resurface Deck and other memory surfaces. Your notes are stored on your device and in a hidden folder inside your personal Google Drive. AccordNote's servers do not store note content.

Your account

You sign in with your Google account. AccordNote uses OAuth to access a private app folder in your Google Drive for note sync. AccordNote does not access your regular Drive files, emails, or any other Google services.

Age requirement

AccordNote is for users aged 13 and older (or 만 14세 이상 in Korea). If you are under the required age in your jurisdiction, do not use the service. We do not knowingly collect data from users below this age.

Your data

You own your notes. AccordNote does not claim ownership and does not monetize the content. Your notes live in two places: your browser's local storage and a hidden folder in your Google Drive. AccordNote's servers store no note content. You can export, delete, or restore your data at any time from the dashboard.

AI processing

AccordNote uses Google's paid-tier Gemini API for three optional AI features: Resurface headlines (a one-line summary cached on each note), Summarize (✨ button on a note), and Extract Insights (batch synthesis across notes). When you use one of these features, the relevant note content is sent to Gemini for processing. Per Google's paid-tier API terms, the prompts and responses are not used to train or improve Google's models. AccordNote's servers do not store the prompts or responses.

All AI features are opt-in and revocable at any time from Settings → AI Privacy. You can also mark individual notes "AI off" so they are excluded from every AI pipeline. The full disclosure is in our Privacy Policy.

What you can do

  • Capture AI conversation outputs and other text for personal use.
  • Edit, delete, export, and import your notes at any time.
  • Mark any note "AI off" to exclude it from every AI pipeline.
  • Toggle AI features on or off globally in Settings → AI Privacy.
  • Revoke AccordNote's Drive access from your Google account settings at any time.

What you should not do

  • Do not use AccordNote to store passwords, financial credentials, or sensitive secrets you would not paste into ChatGPT.
  • Do not use AI features on content you have no right to share — the AI features send the content to Google's Gemini API. Use the "AI off" per-note flag for anything you cannot share.
  • Do not redistribute the extension or web app as your own product.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent abuse controls, rate limits, or paid features.

Payments and Pro features

The core AccordNote service (capture, save, search, Drive sync, Resurface Deck, mind map browsing) is free. A future Pro tier may add advanced AI features at a subscription price; full payment terms will be published on the pricing page before any Pro feature is offered. Privacy controls (including "AI off" per note) are never paywalled.

Service availability and termination

AccordNote is provided as-is, with reasonable but not guaranteed uptime. Because your notes live on your device and in your Drive, service interruptions do not delete your data. We may discontinue the service with 30 days' notice posted at the website root; your Drive copy of your notes remains accessible regardless of the service's status.

Liability

AccordNote is offered without warranty. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or unavailability of the service. Where local law limits this waiver, our liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months (which for free-tier users is zero).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes not resolved by good-faith discussion will be heard in the courts of Seoul, Republic of Korea, unless local consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction grants you a non-waivable right to a different venue.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as AccordNote evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app and on this page with an updated date. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the revised terms.
