The short version

AccordNote does not store your notes on our servers. Your data lives only on your local device and in a private, hidden folder inside your personal Google Drive. We cannot read your notes. We do not sell your data. If AccordNote disappears tomorrow, your notes stay safe.

What data we access

  • 1.Google account profile (name, email, profile picture) to display in the app. Stored locally in your browser only.
  • 2.Google Drive App Data folder to sync your notes between the Chrome extension and the web app. This is a hidden folder that only AccordNote can access. Your regular Google Drive files are never touched.
  • 3.Clipboard content when you press the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+S) or click "Paste & Save." Clipboard is read once per action, only on your explicit trigger. Content is saved locally and never sent to our servers.
  • 4.AI chat page content (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) via content scripts that inject a "Save to AccordNote" button. The script reads the AI response text only when you click Save. No data is collected automatically or sent to external servers.
